The world we want creates the
world we hate:
The starving millions in their simple
huts,
The politicians and their cloistered
guts,
And all the horrors we
contemplate
The rhetoric spills into bites
The pundits and their cronies turn
to cash
For Party of National Unity or Orange Democratic Movement to bash
While driving Kenyans left, right and
centre.
There's money in the books these
people pen.
There's millions in their marches
organised
And yet for all the talk shows,
none are wise,
And we believe their words and
tune them in.
One wonders why we crave the
talking heads
To give them so much life though
we were dead.

A BETTER TOMORROW
I never knew there would be a
better tomorrow
But you've come into my life and
taken away all my sorrow
My days of sadness are a thing of
the past
Because I have found true love at last
My days of emptiness are gone
for good
Because you fill a void in my heart
that you should
You've opened a window
You've shown me the light
And my love for you will continue
to burn bright.
